Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva and many MPs support the Easter charity initiative of the children from the 143rd school in support of their peers
28/03/2018
Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva, Chair of the Children, Youth and Sports Committee Slavcho Atanasov and many MPs from different parliamentary groups supported the Easter charity initiative of the children from the 143rd Primary School “Georgi Benkovksi” in support of their peers deprived of parental care.
The Speaker of Parliament urged the MPs to support the incredible cause named “Children help children” and said that in their little hearts children had a lot of love, which they imparted to the adults, who, in their hectic everyday life, sometimes forgot about those in need. When children prompt us that we could be better, we have to respond not only at Easter and Christmas, but always, said Tsveta Karayancheva.
Chair of the Children, Youth and Sports Committee Slavcho Atanasov thanked the children and their teachers and parents who supported them in the noble cause. With your hearts and little hands you have created many nice things, he said to the pupils. There is nothing more noble than helping your peers, and this is wonderful and a lesson for all of us, added Slavcho Atanasov.
Headmaster of the 143rd school Irena Doychinova thanked for the opportunity to present in Parliament the initiative of the school children. In the past two years, this has been the sixth charity initiative of our pupils. We donate the funds that we raise to orphans, children in need, family type centres, etc., she added.
The Easter charity exhibition presents pictures and souvenirs made by the pupils from 143rd school “Georgi Benkovski”. The exposition was organised jointly with art teacher Violin Nedelchev and presented at the National Assembly at the invitation of the Children, Youth and Sports Committee. The participants in the event enjoyed the artistic performances of the school cheerleaders, the school choir and a dance troupe.
