Parliament adopted the amendments to the Constitution at first reading

With 211 votes in favour, two independent MPs against and no abstained, the National Assembly adopted at first reading the amending bill to the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria. The amendments are in connection with Bulgaria’s EU membership. Such a bill can be passed at first reading by a majority of three-fourths of all MPs or at least 180 votes in favour.
