Responding to the National Assembly President Gerdjikov’s letter on the fate of the Bulgarian nurses in Libya, which was recently sent to the Presidents of the Parliaments of European and other countries, the President of the Chamber of Representatives of the Belgian Parliament Mr. Herman De Croo has sent a letter to Mr. Hamed Ahmed Elhoudery, Secretary of the People’s Office of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

In the letter to his Libyan counterpart, Mr. De Croo expresses his serious concern over finding the soonest solution of this case which, in his words, “evokes strong emotions in the EU Member States”. The President of the Chamber of Representatives of the Belgian Parliament voiced his wish to be informed about the latest developments of the case.
