The National Assembly unanimously decided with 161 votes in favour for the Minister of Health to establish an action plan for the organisation of the work and financing of medical institutions in the event of an emergency

The decision is part of the submitted draft decision on the debate requested by the BSP party to the Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev on a strategy for improving working conditions and financial compensation for Bulgarian medics.

The consensus reached in plenary following the editorial amendments made by Dr. Daniela Daritkova from GERB.

Thus, according to the adopted decision, within three months, the Minister of Health shall prepare and submit to the Healthcare Commission an action plan for the organisation of the work and financing of medical facilities in the event of an epidemic emergency.

According to point 2 of the adopted decision, within six months, the Minister of Health shall carry out and submit to the Healthcare Commission an analysis of the activities of infectious wards, clinics and hospitals and shall draw up a plan for their effective functioning in the event of a declared epidemic emergency.
