The National Assembly obliged the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy to carry out an analysis of the legislation on social support within four months. The draft decision, proposed by United Patriots MPs to create a uniform Code of Social Support to combine existing legislation in this area, was supported by 113 votes in favour, three against and 39 abstentions.

The Code of Social Support should bring together the Persons with Disabilities Act, the Social Assistance Act, the Family Benefits for Children Act, the Child Protection Act, the Personal Assistance Act and the Social Services Act.

In a second reading, Parliament adopted an addendum to the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) Act, which provides for the establishment of a European centre for training and education of specialists in disasters, accidents and catastrophes, as well as a regional warehouse for disaster preparedness and an educational institution for the training of paramedics.
