The President of the National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva, Members of Parliament, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria Temirtay Izbastin, and the Deputy Minister of Transport Andreana Atanasova participated in the validation of the new postal-philatelic edition “Friendship with Kazakhstan”.

At the ceremony in the National Assembly, Tsveta Karayancheva emphasized that this act is yet another evidence that the great geographical distance does not prevent the deepening of the sincere and warm relations between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. I am glad that with the validation of the new postal-philatelic edition Bulgaria becomes involved in the events related to the celebration of the 175th birth anniversary of the founder of Kazakh-written literature Abai Kunanbaev and 1150th birth anniversary of the philosopher and mathematician Abu Nasr Al-Farabi, born in the lands of Kazakhstan, she said.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria Temirtay Izbastin expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the National Assembly, to the Members of Parliament from the Friendship Group Bulgaria – Kazakhstan, and to the Member of Parliament Spas Panchev, who is also the President of the Union of Philatelists in Bulgaria, for the implementation of the initiative. Today's event is another step towards the deepening of the bilateral relations, he said.

The Deputy Minister of Transport Andreana Atanasova expressed her satisfaction that despite the difficulties, the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications had managed to prepare the new postal-philatelic edition. She pointed out that this is the second philatelic edition dedicated to the bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.

The postal sheet is designed by the artist Todor Angeliev, author of the logo of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018.
