The Parliament approved Bulgaria's participation in the preliminary agreements concluded by the European Commission on the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines.

The Parliament approved the proposed by the Council of Ministers participation of Bulgaria in the preliminary agreements concluded by the European Commission and the manufacturers of medicinal products AstraZeneca, Sanofi, Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech Manufacturing GmbHand for the purchase of vaccines in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as taking action to conclude a contract for the purchase of vaccines by Janssen Pharmaceutica NV.

107 MPs voted “in favour”, without a single vote “against”, 19 MPs “abstained” (18 MPs from the BSP party and one MP from the VOLYA party).

Kornelia Ninova's proposal the text to be added to the decision that the Council of Ministers is obliged to prepare a national plan for vaccination on the principles of voluntary and free vaccination was rejected.

The Parliament rejected the President's veto on provisions of the amendments to the Value Added Tax (VAT) Act. The amendments were adopted again by 121 votes “in favour” and 74 “against”.

The Head of State returned for further discussion the amendment of the Consumer Credit Act, adopted through the amendments to the VAT Act, related to the default rates for the quick consumer credits.
