National Assembly President Velikov – Spanish Defence Minister - Meeting

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY PRESIDENT ASSOC. PROF. BORISLAV VELIKOV MET WITH THE MINISTER OF DEFENCE OF SPAIN MR. JOSE BONO
National Assembly President Assoc. Prof. Borislav Velikov met with the Minister of Defence of Spain Mr. Jose Bono. The two shared the opinion that Bulgaria and Spain are good partners, including in creating and implementing of the European security and defence policy. Legislation related to the Spanish national security strategy and the fight against world terrorism were among the items discussed at the meeting.
National Assembly President Velikov thanked his guest for Spain’s support for Bulgaria’s efforts towards EU membership and its accession to NATO. He asked for the ratification by Spain of the treaty on Bulgaria's accession to the European Union after its signing on 25 April 2005.
