Meetings - National Assembly President - Ambassadors of Ukraine and the Netherlands

National Assembly President Georgi Pirinski received today the Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Yuriy Rylach. Ambassador Rylach delivered a letter to Mr. Pirinski from his Ukrainian counterpart who sent his greetings for the recent election of the Bulgarian Parliament Speaker and invited him to visit Ukraine at his convenience.
The two confirmed that Bulgaria and Ukraine have been interested in the intensive development of the bilateral relations in all areas. It was underscored that Ukraine could draw on Bulgaria's experience in the Euro-Atlantic processes.
National Assembly President and the Ambassador of Ukraine found that there are new opportunities and challenges for developing trade and economic relations between the two countries. The necessity of intensifying the contacts between the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Association of the Ukrainian Cities was stressed.
Pirinski and Rylach also noted the role of the parliamentary cooperation in the relations between the two friendly countries.

National Assembly President Georgi Pirinski also met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands H.E. Baroness Henriette Van Lynden in connection with her final departure from Bulgaria.
The meeting's main topics included the 40th National Assembly priorities for the implementation of Bulgaria's strategic tasks and its successful accession to the European Union in particular.
National Assembly President focused on the recently adopted declaration on the main priorities of the work of the new Parliament as the strongest sign of the united will of all parliamentarians to work for Bulgaria's national interests.
The two shared the opinion that there is room for further active parliamentary cooperation between Bulgaria and the Netherlands.
Mr. Pirinski thanked for the consistent support by the Netherlands in the efforts for a just solution of the case with the Bulgarian medics sentenced to death in Libya.
