Today, 25 August 2005, National Assembly President Georgi Pirinski met with the Ambassador of Japan H.E. Mr. Koichiro Fukui.

Georgi Pirinski and Koichiro Fukui voiced their satisfaction with the active development of the parliamentary cooperation between Bulgaria and Japan.

National Assembly President expressed gratitude for Japan's consistent support for the reforms in Bulgaria.

Both sides agreed that untapped opportunities exist for further promotion of the two countries' economic relations. Attracting Japanese investments is a priority for Bulgaria. In this connection, National Assembly President Pirinski and the Japanese Ambassador expressed their hope that the forthcoming mission of the Japanese Business Federation Nippon Keidanren in September would invigorate business coopeeration and attraction of Japanese business partners.
