PACE will consider a report on the Bulgarian medics in Libya

PACE WILL CONSIDER A REPORT ON THE BULGARIAN MEDICS IN LIBYA. BULGARIAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION WILL TAKE PART IN A PACE SITTING
The newly-elected delegation of the National Assembly to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will participate in the fourth part of the 2005 Ordinary Session of PACE from 3 to 7 October in Strasbourg. The delegation consists of six members and six substitutes. Head of the delegation is the Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly Mr. Younal Loutfi.
At the plenary sitting on 6 October 2005, Thursday, a report entitled "Serius human rights violations in Libya - inhuman treatment of Bulgarian medical staff" will be considered. Bulgarian MPs from different political groups will make statements on the issue, followed by the Assembly's vote on a draft recommendation prepared by the Rapporteur Mr. Tony Lloyd.
The report and the draft recommendation were considered and unanimously adopted by the PACE Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights on its sitting on 16 September 2005.
