The delegation of the National Assembly to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly took part in the winter session of NATO PA which was held in Copenhagen from 11 to 15 November 2005.

Five of the members of the Bulgarian delegation, led by its Chairman Mr. Nikolai Kamov, were elected members of NATO PA leadership:

Mr. Nikolai Kamov, Chairman of the delegation of the National Assembly to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, was elected Vice-Chairman of the NATO PA Political Committee.

Mr. Tchetin Kazak MP was elected Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Democratic Governance of the NATO PA Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security.

Mr. Assen Agov MP was re-elected Vice-Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Transatlantic Relations of the NATO PA Political Committee.

Mr. Yani Yanev MP was elected Vice-Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Transatlantic Defence and Security Co-operation of the NATO PA Defence and Security Committee.

Mr. Mario Tagarinski was elected Vice-Chairman of the Sub-Committee on the Proliferation of Military Technology of the NATO PA Science and Technology Committee.

The delegation will give a news conference on its participation in the 51st session of NATO PA on 17 November, Thursday, at 10.00 a.m., "Zapad" Hall of the National Assembly.
