Within his visit to the Republic of Italy, today, 19 January 2006, National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski visited the famous Academy of Fine Arts in Florence.

Pirinski presented Academy Director Giacomo Piraoli with a bronze bas-relief of the eminent Bulgarian statesman and educator Konstantin Velichkov. The bas-relief was made on the initiative of Pazardjik municipality on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of the Bulgaria's noted artist and public figure, who attended the Academy from 1886 until 1888.
