Today, 24 January 2006, Franco Frattini, Vice-President of the European Commission and EU Commissioner responsible for Justice, Freedom and Security, conferred with National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski and other parliamentarians.

National Assembly Chairman Pirinski informed Frattini about the legislative priorities of the 40th National Assembly, highlighting the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria and the legislation addressing the five problem areas identified in the latest European Commission report.

Frattini also met with MPs of all Parliamentary Groups, with MPs Observers to the European Parliament, with Members of the European Integration Committee, Foreign Policy Committee and Legal Affairs Committee.
