Parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski will visit Croatia

A Bulgarian parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski will pay an official visit to the Republic of Croatia on 6 and 7 February 2006.
The visit is at the invitation of Croatian Parliament Speaker Mr. Vladimir Seks. The delegation includes Mr. Petar Kanev (MP of Coalition for Bulgaria), Mr. Ilko Dimitrov (MP of National Movement Simeon II), Mrs. Fathme Iliaz (MP of Movement for Rights and Freedoms) and Mr. Boyko Vatev (MP of Bulgarian People's Union).

Meetings will be held with Croatian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and President of the Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesic.

The programme of the visit also envisages meetings with the members of the Croatian Parliamentary Standing Committees on European Integration, on Foreign Policy and the Parliamentary Bulgaria-Croatia Friendship Group.

The Bulgarian delegation will meet with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Croatia. National Assembly Chairman Pirinski will donate books to the Bulgarian Studies Department of the University of Zagreb.

In Zagreb, the Bulgarian parliamentarians will visit the Croatian Academy of Science and Art.

Parliamentary cooperation, Croatia's European integration and Bulgaria's experience in this process, topical issues of regional cooperation and common prospects of bilateral relations will be discussed during the visit.
