A Bulgarian parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski will pay an official visit to the Republic of Armenia on 13 and 14 February 2006.

The visit is at the invitation of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Artur Baghdasaryan. The delegation includes Mr. Rupen Krikoryan (MP of National Movement Simeon II and Head of the Parliamentary Bulgaria-Armenia Friendship Group), Mr. Apostol Dimitrov (MP of Coalition for Bulgaria), Mr. Evtim Kostadinov (MP of Coalition for Bulgaria) and Mrs. Eleonora Nikolova (MP of United Democratic Forces).

The Bulgarian delegation will confer with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Artur Baghdasaryan and Armenian MPs. Meetings will also be held with Armenia's President Robert Kocharian, Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan and Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian.

Parliamentary relations, prospects of expanding trade and economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Armenia, Bulgaria's experience in the process of European integration and the participation of the two countries in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation will be among the subjects under discussion during the meetings.
