Bulgarian parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Pirinski is paying an official visit to Japan

A Bulgarian parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski is paying an official visit to Japan from 20 to 26 March 2006. The visit is at the invitation of the President of the House of Councillors (the upper chamber of the Japanese Parliament) Mrs. Chikage Oogi.
The Bulgarian delegation includes MPs Boyko Velikov (PG of Coalition for Bulgaria), who is Head of the Parliamentary Bulgaria-Japan Friendship Group, Maria Anguelieva (PG of National Movement Simeon II), Lyutvi Mestan (PG of Movements for Rights and Freedoms) and Evgeny Chachev (PG of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria).
The programme of the visit envisages an audience with Emperor Akihito and meetings with the President of the House of Councillors Chikage Oogi and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament Yohei Kono, as well as with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.
