Bulgaria is already observer to the Euro-Mediterranean Assembly.
Bulgaria's bid was unanimously approved by the Assembly members on 27 March 2006.
Attending the event were the Bulgarian MPs Iva Stankova (PG of Coalition for Bulgaria) and Mincho Spasov (PG of National Movement Simeon II).
