National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski will take part in the European Conference of Presidents of Parliaments on 30 and 31 May in Tallinn. The forum is organised by the Estonian Parliament /Riigikogu/ in cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

“Bridge-building through parliamentary diplomacy” and “The role of parliaments in promoting pluralistic democracy at home and abroad” will be the subjects under discussion during the conference.

National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski will make a statement within the discussion on “Bridge-building through parliamentary diplomacy”.

The conference takes place every two years and brings together Presidents of Parliaments from the Council of Europe Member States, Presidents of the European Parliament and of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The conference will be opened by Riigikogu President Toomas Varek. Introductory speeches will be made by PACE President René van der Linden and European Parliament President Josep Borrell.
