Today, 16 June 2006, National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski received the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma, who is paying an official visit to Bulgaria.

The contribution of the Parliaments of Bulgaria and India adding a new impetus to the bilateral relations, the prospects for expanding trade and economic ties and the cooperation between the two countries within international organisations were among the main topics in the talks.
