MPs reject the no-confidence vote in the Government
08/10/2010
October 8, 2010

MPs rejected the first no-confidence vote in the government moved by members of the Coalition for Bulgaria and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms parliamentary groups. The opposition’s no-confidence vote was tabled on the grounds of what they perceive as the government’s "failure in the health care sector”. The votes casted against the cabinet were 70, 144 supported it, one deputy from the PG Ataka abstained. In favor of the present government voted the members of the GERB PG, the Blue Coalition PG, two independents and the Ataka PG, except the one who abstained. The left Coalition for Bulgaria and the members of Movement for Rights and Freedoms voted in favor of the no-confidence. The independents from the former Order, Lawfulness and Justice PG have not casted votes despite being present in the plenary.
